Service Management Division

Under the Service Management Division, three (3) sections were formed. The three Sections are Management Section, Human Resource Management Section and Finance Section. Functions of each Section are stated below:

 

Management Section

  • To supervise the overall administration.
  • To ensure that the management of the Department runs smoothly.
  • To ensure that the circular is well executed according to procedure.
  • To manage asset/store.
  • Maintenance of building.
  • To supervise internal course such as storing, disposal, etc.
  • To manage the library.
  • To carry out service monitoring.
 

Human Resource Management Section

  • To handle matters related to:-
    • Recruitment & appointment of staff
    • Location/transfer
    • Service
    • Promotion
    • Disciplinary
    • PTK's Examination
    • Quality / PKPA
    • Counselling
    • Pension
    • Asset declaration
    • Security Filter
  • To coordinate meetings for the Committee of In-House Training.
  • To coordinate meetings for the Board of Examination Department (KTPK).
  • To coordinate meetings for the Committee of PIN and Management Integrity.
  • To manage the application for approval from SG / DG to organize and to attend courses proposed by private/statutory body and official visits.
  • Planning of increasing human resource capacity through courses and trainings including overseas technical training.
  • Managing acting and promotion matters and bear of work.
  • Management and maintenance of staff’s file and record.
  • Managing application for special allowance, dive allowance and others.
 

Finance Section

  • Prepare and coordinate annual budget estimation for the department.
  • To coordinate Committee of Finance and Account Management meetings.
  • To coordinate finance monitoring to PTJ.
  • To prepare allocation of warrant.
  • To prepare scheduled financial reporting for the department.
  • To locate the department’s main business data.
  • To supervise matters pertaining to quotations, tenders and direct negotiations.
  • To manage offer letter and contract document.
  • To process and prepare Government’s Local Order.
  • To prepare computational pay sheet input for every officer and staff of the department.
  • To settle matters relating to pre-payment accounting record.
  • To settle matters relating to revenue collection and handling.
  • To settle matters relating to revenue collection and accounting records handling especially trust and deposit.
  • To update the Trust Fund record.
  • To prepare Fund account for Audit revision.
  • To manage the Conservation Fee and other fees imposed to user of Marine Park facilities.
  • To plan and develop the economic fund.
 

Information Technology Section

  • To collect, keep and update scientific data and information and tourists’ statistic to Marine Park periodically.
  • To help to document and enhance the species diversity information.
  • To prepare a complete database (species directory) consisting of biological diversity data and a web-based tourists database.
  • To collect data on eco-friendly resort, to create rating scheme for these resorts and update them in the Department’s Website.
  • To record and control the source of information and its movement.
  • To ensure that the database system runs well and smooth.
  • To develop, update and supervise the Marine Park Website.
  • To develop technology for coral reef mapping and detection of other marine life’s movement.
  • To plan and implement the use of multimedia technology for communication purposes.
  • To develop the Department’s networking and information management system.
  • To improve technology and reduce human usage to minimise errors.
  • To develop and disseminate methods and guidelines for the Department’s database procedure and standard systems.
