The Marine Park Malaysia, which was established in 1994, is sourced from the Fisheries Act 1985 (AP85) and is a tool for Fisheries Management as a marine protected area for national food security. The authority to administer marine resource conservation efforts in Marine Parks is set forth in Part IX of the Fisheries Act 1985 as well as the Marine Park Establishment Orders 1994, 1998, 2000, 2008, and 2012.
