If we swim and do snorkeling activities in marine protected areas, especially on coral reefs, we can see this beautiful colorful scaly fish known as Parrot Fish measuring 1-2 feet. These fish often forage on coral reefs. It also acts as a natural cleansing agent by feeding on algae and chewing and biting corals. Its sandy shavings help the formation of beach sand. Don’t buy and eat Parrot Fish!
